HOW TO STYLE A POLKA DOT DRESS FOR FALL

Polka dot print is a trend that has been around for a very long time and it seems like the print is here to stay. It’s not going anywhere!

For the longest time, I was in search of the perfect polka dot dress. One that I can wear in the Spring/Summer and be easily a transitional piece in the fall.

I found this number at H&M and was on sale for under $20. I love the versatility of the dress as it can easily be styled for casual look and/or dress up for a more evening or holiday look.

Here are 3 ways how to style a Polka dot dress for Fall

1.Casual Look

For a comfy and casual look, throw on a leather/biker jacket over the dress to elevate the look and give it a street style. If you don’t have one, a denim jacket will be a perfect substitute. As for shoes, a pair of loafers or even combat boots will do the trick. Adding a fedora hat will definitely complete this look.

2. The Classy Look

This look is one of my favorite. To achieve a classy and elegant look, wear your dress with a midi/long oversized cardigan, but make sure that the color is from an opposite color palette than the dress, just as I did here. Camel/light brown is always a great color for fall. To achieve a feminine look, wear the dress with a belt to accentuate your waistline. If you are not a big fan of high heels or you are just not in the mood, kitten heels will be the perfect substitute.

3. The Holiday Look

With the holidays around the corner, this look will be perfect for it. It will take you from a Candlelight Thanksgiving church service to a Christmas dinner with friends and family. The touch of the red and gold belt, with the open toes botties bring that festive feel to this outfit. Add a long white coat (Red will also be a great color), will definitely elevate and complete this look. Believe me, you will turn few heads.
